Privacy Policy
Your voice starts on your device.
inZeit is a local-first voice capture app. This policy explains what stays on your device, what you can choose to export, and what diagnostics are used to keep the app working.
Overview
inZeit records short audio notes, stores them on your device, and creates transcripts on device. The app does not require an account and does not provide cloud sync.
Effective date: June 12, 2026.
Data you create
When you use inZeit, the app may store the following data locally on your device:
- Audio recordings you create.
- Transcripts generated from those recordings.
- Capture titles, timestamps, and local app settings.
These recordings and transcripts are stored in the app's private local storage. They are not uploaded to inZeit for cloud sync or cloud transcription.
Microphone access
inZeit asks for microphone permission so you can record audio captures. The app uses microphone access only when you start a recording. You can deny or revoke microphone permission in your device settings, but recording features will not work without it.
On-device transcription
The Android app includes a bundled English Vosk speech model. Transcription runs on your device. The app does not send your recordings to a cloud transcription service.
Diagnostics and crashes
The Android app may collect limited diagnostics during testing to help understand whether the app opens, whether important flows are failing, and whether crashes or errors are happening on tester devices.
Diagnostics may include app version, build number, platform, environment, technical error or crash details, device or operating-system diagnostics, and app-health events such as app launch. Diagnostics are not intended to include the content of your recordings or transcripts.
Sharing and export
You can choose to share an audio capture through your device's share sheet or save a transcript through the document picker. When you choose a destination outside inZeit, that receiving app or location controls what happens to the exported file.
Deletion
You can delete captures, audio, transcripts, or all local capture data inside the app. You can also remove local app data by uninstalling the app or clearing app storage in device settings. Data that you already exported or shared outside inZeit must be managed in the destination app or location.
